"Kacapi Langit", arranged in a modular synthesizer system. I was invigorated by the Kanekes (Baduy ethnic group) traditional music in West Java from my ethnography journey to seek and discover about their ancestor technology. 

PS: the peak audio is purposely designed because it satisfies my hearings. Hope yours too.

Recorded today, 5.31 PM, on Thursday, 9 September 2021, in the heart of Borneo, consist of my voice and a lute instrument called Sape from Kalimantan island. The piece called “Bolingu” means “longing”.

Bolingu

Invigorated by the harmony of nature glorifying the goddess of the motherland, I recorded this elegiac voice to process the existing bewailings. Recorded at 12:52 AM 23 August 2021 in the heart of Borneo Island, I believed that a soul was responding to me, and I was replying to it.

Composed using a Sennheiser MKH416 microphone and preamps from Universal Audio Apollo Twin X and processed through Borderlands Granular app. I hope you dig this.
